Purpose of the Role
Xanthi & Associates is recruiting 100 qualified Safety Officers for employment opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
This recruitment opportunity is specifically targeted at experienced safety professionals with a proven background in the Oil & Gas industry. Candidates with GCC experience and internationally recognized safety certifications are strongly encouraged to apply.
Remuneration/ Salary
SALARY
SAR 4,000 – 5,500 per month
Salary will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, certifications and relevant professional experience.
Approximate monthly equivalents:
- USD: $1,067 – $1,467
- Ghana Cedis: GHS 12,267 – GHS 16,867
USD and GHS equivalents are indicative and may fluctuate according to prevailing exchange rates. The contractual salary will be paid in Saudi Riyals.
Key Accountabilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Selected Safety Officers will be expected to contribute to maintaining high standards of occupational health and safety within industrial and Oil & Gas environments.
Typical responsibilities may include:
- Implementing and monitoring workplace health and safety procedures.
- Conducting site safety inspections and identifying potential hazards.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable HSE policies, procedures and regulations.
- Conducting risk assessments and recommending appropriate control measures.
- Monitoring the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Supporting incident, accident and near-miss investigations.
- Conducting safety briefings, toolbox talks and awareness sessions.
- Maintaining safety records, reports and relevant documentation.
- Monitoring safe working practices across operational areas.
- Supporting the implementation of emergency response and safety procedures.
Qualifications and Experience Required
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
Mandatory Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience
- Proven Oil & Gas industry experience – MANDATORY
- Degree or Diploma in an appropriate field
- NEBOSH certification preferred
- OSHA certification accepted
- Good knowledge of occupational health and safety practices
- Ability to work effectively in demanding industrial environments
Preferred
- Previous GCC experience
- Experience working on Oil & Gas, industrial, construction or related projects
- Strong knowledge of workplace risk assessment and safety compliance
Important: Candidates without relevant Oil & Gas experience may not be considered for this recruitment.
